Summer Sips: Black Box Wine

During the Summer months we spend most of our time entertaining outdoors, mostly picnics in the park (it's kind of our thing) but sometimes switching it up and finding new places to thrown down our blanket and relax. So, over the weekend we headed over to Gita's for an impromptu rooftop picnic with a basket full of essentials and some new sips from Black Box Wines. It was kind of perfect, especially with the NYC backdrop. No bottle, corkscrew or glasses needed. Cleary making life a little easier, especially when transporting the picnic basket, which of course I dropped on the walk over, because you know, I'm clumsy. Obviously (and thankfully) nothing broke because we ditched the bottle for the box - which felt kind of refreshing.

Flavor wise I felt like it matched up to my bottled favorites, and they have a pretty large selection to choose from and just introduced a Pinor Noir. I was also surprised by how fresh they stayed (Black Box says up to a month, but we know it didn't stick around long enough to test that). With a price point of just under $5 for 500ml and $25 for 3L, it makes it kind of hard to go back to what I was drinking before, especially when it comes to anything outdoors. Obviously I'm already packed and ready for the 4th!
