Summer Staple: Wrap Front Romper

I love when romper season arrives! Who else loves a good romper? I mean you know I love my overalls, so it would only be natural for me to also love a good romper, right? This Banana version has me all kinds of excited. I mean, that wrap front and deep navy hue...

Ten Baby & Wedding Shower Approved Dresses for Summer

That's right! It's baby and wedding shower season which means aside from the constant registry shopping, wrapping paper and bows, you have to figure out what to wear to said occasion. I'll be honest I'm a legit last minute Lucy when it comes for shopping for showers, outfits included. But I will say when it comes to outfit ideas for showers I usually stick to one of two things - color or prints. It's foolproof.

For Gita's shower earlier this month, Jackie and I made sure that we showed up in our best dresses for the occasion - my H&M dress and her Who What Wear Collection dress. So perfect for Gita's little lady's celebration at Winky Lux...

That being said, here's 10 Baby and Wedding Shower Approved dresses...

Print Mixing Made Easy: How To Wear Florals and Polka Dots

Prints. I love'm. I especially love prints mixed together. I know a lot of people aren't quite on board with print on print styling but this week Jackie and I are here to help you tackle the some of our favorite prints to mix, with ease. First of all, Florals and Polka Dots are always a win. They're a classic pair.

Mixing Prints 101: If you're treading on new territory, here's some tips to make mixing prints easier and look amazing. With separates, watch the scale of the print - don't go too big on big - try and keep one smaller and go a little more bold on the other. You want the contrast without going over the top.

Cropped Mom Jeans & Bow Bandeau Top

Since it's been raining cats and dogs here in the city I figured it might be time to start posting my outfits from Tulum last month. I totally forgot I have these babies in the queue and with Summer on the horizon, it's time.

Obviously these jeans have made quite a few appearances over the last several months and I'm not planning on storing them away anytime soon. I will say, I love that I wear them with basically everything. Most importantly this bow bandeau top. It's cute right? Dress is up with a high waisted skirt or keep it casual with distressed jeans and sandals, like here. Love these adorable little Oka-B sandals with this..just enough flare!

Of course no summer look is complete without a basket bag, right? Everyone is running to the store for similar styles and I'm loving this particular one from Bloomingdales (on sale for $37!).

Summer Staples: Shades Of Denim

Summer is just around the corner and I'm hoping you're packing your closet full of all of the shades of denim! That's right, not only is light denim a huge thing but darker washes are making a comeback. Get ready for all of the denim on denim pairings!

I'm loving this medium-light wash denim jacket (with a mess of pins + my name added to flare) over a white cropped top and dark washed high waisted flares. I kept the palette simple with white sneakers, because you can't live your life without a pair, right?

Since it's just about summer, we have to add some texture in the form of basket bags! Is anyone as obsessed as I am? I need them in all sizes and shapes please...

I'm sure you have all of these pieces in your closet making it ridiculously easy to RE-CREATE.

Twenty MUST-HAVE Target Finds Under $200

Who else is more than ready to kick off the weekend?! We're doing something a little different this week for Jackie and I's post(s). We're talking about Target. No, that's not different but we're sprinkling in some of our favorite Target must-haves, so you're going to want to check out both posts.

Spring Style With Savers

It's officially bare shoulders season! Can I get a woohoo?!

As you're already fully aware, I love a good deal. I especially love when said good deal comes from Savers®. You saw my fashion week style post, here and halloween costume ideas, here so it was only appropriate to come back with some spring-ready stylings. I highly encourage you try and find a store nearby because Savers (or in some areas, Value Village™ or Unique Thrift®) does not disappoint. It's the ultimate treasure hunt.

I found so many great finds at my most recent trip to the West Hempstead Savers location.  I snagged a few houseware items, including a set of gorgeous green wine glasses. Such a great place to find glassware. I swear every time I go I end up bringing home a new set and I'm not mad about it. I might not have the space but that's another story. Another day, another story.

As for the fashionable finds, I went with a white theme this time around and could not resist this layered ruffle top. Guys, it's Zara, new with tags for $6 (the OG tag said $40)! You could definitely say it was $6 well spent. I spotted so many designer finds for under $15 during this trip. I also scored a lace fringe dress, as seen in my stories and a white sheer beaded maxi that I plan on layering over jeans in the coming months. For now, let's talk about this ruffled beauty. I love the halter neck, but also love that the bodice is supportive enough to ditch the ties and go strapless. I'll tell you right now, like my suede camel Savers find from winter, you're going to be seeing a lot more of it. How cute would it be with overalls?

I kept it simple and went with high waisted wide leg jeans. Honestly, I wear these jeans with everything and I just HAD to wear them with this top. As for accessorizing goes, this bag is everything and I swear my mom had one that looked just like this in the 90's. I mean, that scalloped detail, it's fabulous. It also holds a ton, which I need. I piled my camera, wallet, phone and my bulky keys with room to spare. Hello, summer carryall...

Also, it was definitely under $10 - so another win for the books.

I finished off my Savers finds with knot espadrilles, my favorite sunglasses and a bold lip before heading to the street festival this past weekend. So comfortable.

Now, for some tips for shopping spring styles at Savers.

+ New With Tags is Always A Win.

+ If you're on the hunt for white be sure to scour for stains. Same goes with other solid hues and prints but it's sometimes hard to catch light stains until after you buy.

+ Right now quirky, unique accessories are spot on with trends. Keep an eye out for fun textures, shapes and styles. Why buy new at fast fashion retailers when you can find something better for way cheaper?

+ Don't hesitate on jeans and pants. They had so many amazing NWT's styles - take a moment to hit the fitting room. Who knows those jeans might be a gold mine.

+ Don't let the masses overwhelm you. Patience is key when on the hunt. I must have gone through 10 dresses before pulling the diamond out of the rough...

+ Check out the outerwear, it's never too early to buy for fall and winter...
Definitely check the Savers site for locations, to join the Super Savers Club™, and for shopping inspo.
