Spring Shoe Essentials + $250 Gift Card to Johnston & Murphy

If you've been reading for a little bit now you know I love Johnston & Murphy boots. Truth: They are  the most comfortable boot I've ever slipped my foot into and are extremely well crafted. David actually wears his pair from season to season and it's nearly impossible to get him to take them off at this point.  But, now that winter is officially over and I'm trading my boots out for something a bit lighter, it only seemed natural to team up with Johnston & Murphy once again to talk spring and summer footwear essentials. And the selection is pretty excellent by the way; hello, sandals, sneakers, and espadrilles! I will say it was kinda tricky to narrow my favorites down to just two pairs, but I did somehow manage to do it and I couldn't be more happy with my picks: The pastel heel and the ghillie espadrille. As far as I'm concerned, every closet needs at least one pastel heel and espadrille for the spring and summer season. Espadrilles are ever versatile. They go with everything! They are extremely comfortable, making them multiple-occasion-worthy, especially when it comes to traveling. I instantly fell for the Mandy perforated ghillie wedge strictly because of the details. Look at this craftsmanship. The lace up ghillie paired with the soft tan leather and jute wedge, makes for a wear-with-everything-and-anything staple. The amount of use that these kicks are going to get over the next few months is insane. We're talking everything from cute little spring dresses to cropped denim and short pairings, all the way up until the end of September. The first outfit had to be a colorful, floral off-the-shoulder dress that just screams fiesta! That, or vacation, which is something for which I am desperate after months of winter. Since they're super versatile I added a bonus outfit including the Aztec-Pattern Knit Vest from the site and it could not have been a more perfect casual spring pairing. As for the Vanessa pumps in baby blue, after the season you just had, you need some color in your life, so why not a pretty blue pastel in a classic shape? Wear them with jeans, a pretty lace dress or glam them up for a summer wedding. Don't worry about wanting to kick them off after about an hour of wear, THESE are comfortable with the 3.5" heel and cushioned insole. Since it is a classic shape, I decided they would be perfect with this lace off-the-shoulder maternity dress from Seraphine. I love the subtle pop of blue against the white (and appropriately for boy) making for a romantic spring look for date night or even my baby shower.
