Pop Of Color

For me, the minute March finally rolls around is the moment that I'm officially ready to ditch the dark colors in favor for something a little more bright and cheery. And like clockwork, my eyes are immediately set on all things color for the new season. Sure, black still plays an enormous part in my wardrobe- it's essential in New York- but I love spicing it up with pops of neon, colorful prints, and even switching out my typical brick backgrounds with something a little more bright, like today's background - which is kind of amazing. Thanks to Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

So, with new the new season comes the new wardrobe picks. When it comes to Spring additions, I mostly spend my time browsing {read: shamelessly filling my cart} for pieces that I know will pop, either against my hair or with pieces that I already have hanging in my closet, like this off the shoulder top and distressed pair of overalls. I usually lean towards adding new accessories, which is why this little MyWalit Rio flapover crossbody had to find a place in my closet. I mean, it's the perfect finishing touch to this outfit. It's light-weight, has an adjustable contrasting strap, and the leather is like butter. It's heavenly. Plus, it's deceptively small. Sure, it looks like it only holds a phone and maybe a wallet but this baby packs a mean punch when it comes to holding everything and anything {within reason, of course}. David immediately referenced to it as the fashion girl's Tardis, which it kind of is. I can't help but overflow with love for this citron hue, it is essential for those rainy days where you just need the slightest pop of sunshine (which was quite literally the entire week last week).

Now, while I'm completely obsessed with it's current pairing it's not just reserved for overalls and espadrilles. I kind of feel like it would be an essential piece for festival season paired with high-waisted shorts, cropped tops and gladiators. I even have an idea that it would look equally adorable dressed up with spring dresses and skirts. But that's just me...
