For me one of the most important things about setting up a room is the bed and how it's put together. Walking in can either make or break your mood, so setting it up to fit your personality and style is always the best way to go. After all it is your room, you might as well make it fit your style, right? I for one am all about pillows, prints and textures, but I'm sure that comes as no surprise to you since we see it in my day to day style. Well, sans the pillows. I love playing with different ideas and switch things up every now and then bases on my mood and time of the year. My poor husband, he's such a good sport with my ever changing home decor projects.
So with back to school kicking off later this month I've teamed up with Dormify to share my favorite essentials for putting together that dream bed. Whether you're dressing up your dorm for the first time or your tiny space little space that needs that extra pop of personality (city people unite!), I've rounded up my 3 favorites to give a little inspiration to get you in the mood to start putting your bed together. I personally kind of want to copy these right to my own room.
First off grab your comforter or duvet, I'm a print kind of girl, but solids are also great, you can do so much layering. Next up, sheets, pick something that blends perfectly with the duvet, if you grabbed florals or stripes opt for solids or dots (I'm loving the snow leopard, they're just another kind of polka dots in my mind). Next up, grab pillows (and a fabulous throw) and pile them on to finish of with your own personal touch.
