The Black Pencil Skirt

If you're going to have one pencil skirt in your closet, I'm going to have to recommend getting a black one, they're the essential closet staple and they go with just about everything. Plus..the whole black is slimming fits with every shape and size. A few(ish) years ago I was on a pencil kick and bought one in every color, now I need to dig them out of the depths of my closet, but most recently I just couldn't resist the "Heather" pencil from PB&J Boutique, mainly because of the leather waist detailing and exposed zipper. Plaid was of course my first choice just for the sake of dressing it down...

Lovely pencil skirt, I like it paired with the plaid shirt :)

I would love a collection of colourful pencil skirts - they are great for office wear! :)

I think they're so chic! I just feel more self conscious of my figure when I wear them, so I do so sparingly. You look va va voom!

This looks great on you, I have a confession though - I do not own any pencil skirts! Oh dear, maybe I should rectify this situation!

You look great! I love the leather waistband too. I like how pencil skirts look but for some reason they don't look good one me. Maybe I just need to find the right style!

I have several pencil skirts in different tweeds, but I cannot for the life of me find an affordable (under $50) black pencil skirt that is flattering on me. So frustrating!
