DIY Embellished Sunglasses
I've been lusting over these Dsquared2 sunnies for quite some time now, and since they're not only sold out everywhere, they're a little bit (er, a lot) out of my price range. Meaning, the only obvious solution would be to DIY them, am I right? So of course after months of pondering the idea, I finally got a slate of free time and up-cycled a pair of my trusty sunnies and voila, Embellished Sunglasses.
So grab your glue and those old sunglasses and let's bedazzle our sunnies, after all, it's one of Spring 2013's trends to love. Lucky for you this one is not only easy, it's a quicky.
Chunky Knits for Spring
Since the weather is getting warmer in most parts, it has a lot of us stashing away some of our chunky knits, however, I'm still loving the layers so I'm bringing this baby from Goddis right on into spring with me. How perfect is it with these jeans, pumps and light blazer? Add some red lips and Sunglasses, and we're talking spring casual.

Spring 2013 Sunglasses Trends To Love
Next to shoes, I've found that I have yet another obsession in the accessories department, Sunglasses. To me the more bold they are, the better, and after much research on the runways last season I noted more than a few sunglasses trends for Spring 2013. Perfect for the streets, blogosphere and our handbags, of course. Who could resist a statement making set of accessories to make even the simplest outfit pop, with daring prints and overly geometric you'll have people asking Who's behind those Foster Grants, Er, Pradas...

When In Red
I'll be the first to admit that I've been stalking these jackets since they first surfaced at Target with the hopes of someday seeing them get marked down, way down. Lucky for me, I snagged this baby for just under $11 last weekend, and of course I couldn't be more smitten. I might just have to go back for the print version.
No, They're Not Pajamas
You ever have one of those days (or weeks) where you'd just rather be in something light and comfy than all tied up in something constricting? This week more often then not has that been my feeling, and though it would give me great pleasure just to slouch around in pajamas all day, I have to force my self to get some what presentable, well or so I thought. Especially after I over heard some ladies chattering about how awkward it was that I put a leather jacket over my pajamas. Now given I was going for a slouchy vibe and even chuckled to myself about the whole this, little did they know the joke was really on them ;)...

Brighten Up Your Winter Blues With Wellies
It's taken me a while to jump on the "Wellies" trend that we've been seeing around the blogosphere, mainly because well they're just needed in Florida. Sure, we get rain but I feel like wellington's are more winterized these days. And while I love the classic styles and solid colors, my eyes always wander towards prints and brights like these trendsetters from Brantano. They're bound to kick whatever winter weather blues out of your system, and go right on through to those April showers..

5 Ways To Wear Carrie Hammer's Newspaper Print Skirt
I'm not sure if it's because I'm an avid SATC fan, or I really just love a good print but something about this skirt just did it for me. I sat for months after fashion week just thinking about how unique it was and how well it was tailored, finally biting the bullet I reached out to Carrie and boy am I glad I did, It's amazing right?
Not only do Carrie Hammer's pieces accentuate a woman's body but they make a statement, and with her motto "dress for the job you wanted not the job you have", she does just that. And if you're going to get something from her, I recommend this skirt, and as it would seem it's a heck of a lot more versatile than I initially thought, I think so far I've worn it 9 different ways, so if you're afraid to jump on the bandwagon, I'm telling you now - it works.
Here's 5 Ways To Wear Carrie Hammer's Newspaper Skirt...
1. With Chambray (Or Denim)
Dress it up or dress it down, you can even take this styling to the office..
2. With A Touch Of Casual Cool (ie: The Beanie Pairing)For a day of no fuss shopping with just enough appeal... |
3. With A (Colorful) Tied Up Blouse and A Statement Shoe
Tying up your blouse at the waist accentuates your hourglass figure while giving a retro vibe, evened out with a stylish statement shoe, like this season's must, cap toes. Try adding this year's color into the mix, hellllo emerald!
4. Print Mixed
Go really bold by mixing prints, stick with darker prints on top for the perfect contrast, like these tiny polka dots. Add a blazer and we're talking wear to work and to that date!
5. Topped Of With A Pop Of Color
Beat the B&W blues and top with a bold color -Instantly Bright.
How would you wear it?
5 Spring Styles To Love From Box Clothing
At this point just about everyone is looking forward to Spring and the idea of breaking out the short sleeves and bare legs under dresses. And though I'm still wishing it would turn winter here, I am looking forward to some of the trends I spied while at Fashion Week last season which has inspired me to hunt for peplums, leather, and those gorgeous baroque inspired prints. Lucky for me, I stumbled upon most at Box Clothing for Well Under $100 each, some of which reminded me of the styles from this Budget Babe Post.
