Fall Inspiration With Dyson: Color and Shape

07 October 2012

Last week we talked about Print and Texture inspiration for fall with Dyson and this week, we're going to touch on my other favorite inspirations, Color and Shape. Since shape really isn't a new thing here on the blog because we've come to know my love for varying shapes from oversized draping effects to slim waisting baring styles, I felt that we could take a moment off from clothing and talk inspirations for accessories and home decor. Obviously when it comes to jewelry the shapes and design always catch my eye, I tend to lean toward pendant styles with a bold design. For instance this gorgeous dreamcatcher inspired necklace, it's bohemian with a unique design and a pop of color to really make it pop.
As for the home, I love clean lines and colors (thought white in my house is hard with two boys..). I always try to incorporate modern with vintage, like this gorgeous heir loomed mirror and the geometrically shaped lamp that's finished off with a (diy) metallic hued lamp shade. Adding pops of color in the chair cushion, and more neutrals like the bag to tie in the theme.
And when it comes to color, It's taken me quite awhile to steer away from all things neutral and get bold with exotic colors, but this season I'm loving metallic knits, overlay and the mixing of metals.
Adding creams to the lineup, and incorporating deep hues paired with glitter might be a fun way to spice up your nails this season, especially with Halloween so close by...
How are you inspired by Shapes and Colors this Season?
