NYFW Style: Shearling Vest

This season, I skipped out on brands sending over pieces for shows and did most of my fashion week shopping days before the shows started, when my mom was in town. We hit the usual suspects on our favorites list and ended up popping into Marshalls because I wanted to check out the new World Market in the building. You know, the two birds, one stone kind of deal. At first, I was striking out, but stumbled upon this gem {the vest, can you even?} and the dress within feet of each other.

Obviously, I immediately bought them and ran home. After finding myself with limited shoe options I realized I didn't have anything to wear with this awesome duo. But, while digging around on the shelf in my closet {you know, where I literally stuff all my boots into a pile when I'm not wearing them}, the leather over the knee boots that Ying gave me a few year ago back. It was almost too perfect, the hardware and shape, so 70's, going hand in hand in the building theme in this week's style diary. Topping things off with one of my favorites, the vintage Hermés Jige clutch my grandmother and I found years ago...

Now, if only the rain had held off - but now I just have a reason to re-wear it.
