DIY Brightening Mask

When it comes to my summer skin routines I love to swap out my 'bottled' masks every once in a while for something a bit more au natural. There's just something about riffling through your cabinets to create something that in turn makes your skin look and feel better. This time it's all about raw honey and turmeric. Now, I'm pretty sure I've shared my love for turmeric in the past, but in the off chance that I haven't or you're new around these parts, it's awesome stuff. Cook with it, drink it in a tea or put it all over your body (it can even remove unwanted hair and give your skin a nice healthy glow). It has amazing properties that are good for inside and out of your body.

So, in honor of one of my favorite spices in and out of the kitchen, I whipped up a little skin brightening mask to exfoliate and give my skin a fresh glow before summer officially kicks off....

It's ridiculously easy, all you need is a small bowl, spoon and these four ingredients. If you're sensitive to lemon, you can skip it.
DIY Skin Brightening Mask

1 Tsp. Raw Honey - MAKE SURE IT'S RAW!
1/2- 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
1/8 Tsp. Turmeric
1/8 Tsp. Cinnamon

Gently apply, leave on for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Pat dry.
