Black Bean Burgers

For the last year or so we've had this on going obsession with black bean burgers, its started off with a frozen brand and later branched out to a more fresh version. But since going cutting out some of the gluten in my life, I realized I was going to need something to replace my bread crumbs, crap! So when I realized that oats (gluten free) could do what breadcrumbs do, but better, I jumped right on in and whipped them up.  And I think I found my new obsession, if you're looking for a quick and easy Superbowl snack, make them mini and voila!
Black Bean & Oat Burgers - 7 Burgers
19 Oz Of Black Beans, Canned (or Soaked Overnight)
1 Cup Fresh Mushrooms, Chopped
1/2 Cup Oats
1/4 C Flax Seeds
2-3 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp. Cumin
1/3 Black Pepper
1 Egg

1. Combine 3/4 the black beans, flax & mushrooms in a food processor. Blend, Add Garlic, Cumin, Pepper and Egg. Stir in remaining beans.

2. Mold burgers, and heat vegetable oil to medium/high in a medium sized skillet.

3. Brown each side for about 4-5 mins, until slightly crispy.

4. Serve With Bun (I went with GF toast), Kale/Spinach Mix and Cheese. And Enjoy.
