Homemade Magic Shell Recipe

Sometimes ice cream on it's own just doesn't cut for me, especially when I'm looking to branch out on flavors. And since becoming a full on coconut oil addict (skin, hair and food) I've been looking for new ways to incorporate it into my life and recipes.

So this is where I stumbled upon a healthier version of 'Magic Shell' topping after realizing melted coconut oil has the ability to harden quickly on cold surfaces. And since I was majorly addicted to the Reese's one when I was a kid -  I grabbed my favorite chocolate bar, some peanut butter and a little dab of coconut oil...and voila, a homemade, healthy and more delicious 'Magic Shell' made to order. Hello Coconut Oil Recipes!

Magic Shell - Serves 4 Small(ish) Bowls of Ice Cream
1 Heaping Tbsp. Peanut Butter
1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil
2 Squares of Dark Chocolate - Crumbled (or handful of chocolate chips)
1. Combine ingredients in small microwave safe bowl, and 'melt' for 30 seconds.
2. Stir until completely liquified and pour over your ice cream of choice, wait 30 seconds and voila, magic!
3. Enjoy, and don't be afraid to play with flavors! If you make, I want to hear about it! Xo.
Ps- You can make more and store for later in an old 'squirt' bottle - don't refrigerate!
