Caught it the Rain

I always love when it rains, I love the soothing sound rain makes when it hits my rooftop. It always reminds me of when I lived in the City and would listen the rain bounce off the sidewalk outside my apartment in the summer. Days like this is when I miss New York the most.

As far as fashion goes, I've been dying to break out my  new Alice and Olivia Zip Up Gladiators from Payless, and it just so happened that it rained today...I'm not the kind of girl that will wear rain boots ( I just haven't found my ideal pair yet) or weather friendly outfits. My idea of dressing for rain is throwing on a trench and platform sandals - you think I'm joking, I'm not very practical. But can you honestly say fashion is?  Back to the gladiators, Surprisingly they're extremely comfortable and easy to walk in for the 5+ inches they are. My only problem with them is the pink on the bottom of the shoe, it literally is already peeling off and looks a little funky. I love them anyhow, they were worth the whole $27 bucks I paid for them ( BOGO and Online Coupons - Yes Please!).

I'm a little boring today pairing boyfriend jeans with a sheer ruffled top ( that I thought I'd get a lot more wear out of when I bought it, not so much) and belt it with a skinny black belt. I threw some bangles on and my gladiators and headed out in the rain with my zebra print umbrella.
