A nude shoe worn with bare legs gives the illusion of long lean legs because it's all (practically) monotone. Just like wearing all black makes you appear slimmer.
Also a nude shoe is a wardrobe staple and really can be worn with just about everything in you're closet because it's a neutral!
And not only is it huge for Spring 2010, it's going to be all over the place for Fall 2010!
