Sweaters and Sequins

04 March 2015

I've been sitting on this skirt for a few weeks now and haven't been entirely sure as to how I really wanted to wear it. I mean, I knew I needed an oversized sweater but I wasn't on board to shop a new one. So, I grabbed this one and decided to give it a temporary DIY {ie: fold it up and pin} for the sake of wearing it with this skirt. Turns out, it was kind of perfect for the job. No new sweater needed.

Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serums Review

03 March 2015

During the Winter my skin takes the heat for well, the lack of heat {and humidity}. Sure, I spend all this time making sure my face gets the very best treatment during the {bitterly} cold and dry months but let's be real, everywhere else gets straight neglected. Perhaps it's the fact that it's mostly unseen under all my layers, so I guess out of site out of mind plays the biggest role in this bad behavior. Emphasis on bad behavior.

Luckily, Vaseline's new Intensive Care Healing Serums have my back. With 10x the healing power to reverse dry skin damage, the new serums bring the power of highly concentrated, healing ingredient to Vaseline's first ever moisturizing body care serum. Available in three variants each with micro-droplets of Vaseline jelly to provide specialized relief for each use. Opt for Advanced Relief to heal and calm severely dry skin, or grab Radiance Restore to heal and restore radiance to dry and dull skin with a smidge of pure coca butter. For cracked, rough skin opt for Deep Repair. I got to try all three with the addition of box full of specialty "X" cookies from Magnolia Bakery. Because who can resist beauty essentials paired with sweets? No one, that's who. Truth be told the cookies barely lasted a week, the serums have thankfully stretched a bit further.

Personally, I found myself using the Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serum in Advanced Relief the most, it was the perfect addition to my after shower routine and I immediately noticed a difference in my skin texture, and found it was in fact gentle on even my overly sensitive skin. Whew. The smell is pleasant, though I will say the the Deep Repair has the best fragrance. All formulas are creamy and non-greasy. Best part, they're under $10 a pop and can be found at your neighborhood favorites like CVS, Duane Reade and Target.
Have you tried the new Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serums?

Spring Ready

02 March 2015

Now that it's officially March I'm thoroughly convinced that I need to start bringing out my new Spring pieces, weather be damned. So instead of being completely impractical and baring my legs in 30˚ weather, I figured I'd do a little 'wear it now' while I wait to "wear it later". This Keepsake dress from ShopSplash is the perfect Spring addition to my closet {hello color!}, but since there's no sign of warmer weather I'll gladly throw a long sleeve cropped top, tights and a moto jacket over it while I wait...

And if you're in the mood to kick your week (and Spring) off with a little bit of shopping get 20% off your order with TFDIARIES at Shop Splash.

Black and Brown

27 February 2015

While I'm all for a good over the knee boot I've found myself more often-than-not wanting to take a break and grab something with a little less 'length'. So when I spotted these Carlo Pazolini booties, I  knew they were exactly what the doctor ordered. First, you can never have enough black boots in your closet and second, I love the zipper detail along the back of the shoe, it's just too perfect for when you just need that extra pop. I think they went perfectly with this tulle skirt and {contrasting} moto jacket, am I right?

Spring Stripes

26 February 2015

I snagged this dress a couple of weeks ago in the hopes of an early spring but it would seem the reality of the just over a month left of winter had me feeling a little bit discourage when it came to wearing it. However, I quickly realized that it was the perfect contender for a simple lesson in layering. Sure, you've seen me throw my sweaters over my dress, but now it was time to add a layer or two under my dress for some Pre-Spring wear.

Red Leopard

25 February 2015

I know I've worn this leopard dress quite a few times in the last year but I think it's pretty safe to say I had good reason. I mean,  the comfort alone makes this one of my favorite wears. Which is probably why I stuck to this combination last week while in the mountains, easy and effortless. It's practically an exact match to this outfit spotted earlier this month.
