What To Pack: The Supplements You Need To Take With You When You're Traveling This Season

Travel has become a huge part of my professional and personal life over the last year. While it has incredible (mental and physical) health benefits that are indisputable, a constant on-the-go or uprooted state can take a toll on your health and mental state. Our last trip really tested me, for example. From the cat getting bit by a snake (expensive emergency vet bill) to a 14-hour car ride with 3 kids and a two cats all taking turns testing our patience on the trip back to the city. To say I was exhausted is an understatement, yet my bags are packed and ready for the next two upcoming trips. *shrug*

Away we go!

So all that said, you have to give yourself some extra love when you're constantly on-the-go. For me, I like to always be prepared and continue on my beauty routine; but I'll also add some extra love, like sheet mask while on the plane for extra hydration. The little things make a huge difference and that goes for inside and out. I've been a supplement girl for as long as I can remember and yes, they're not all created equally, but I have found the ones that work best for me and what I need at the time.

Cue: Solgar® coming in clutch for me with their nutritional supplements! They've been innovating and producing quality nutritional supplements since 1947. So, they've had 70 years to fine-tune their products with an ongoing mission to provide consumers with top-quality, science-based nutritional supplements to support their overall health. Most products are Gluten Free, Kosher, Halal, Vegan, Non-GMO and Vegetarian, as well as sold in a recyclable Amber Glass Bottle. No plastic waste here!

With nearly 400 different products, Solgar offers products that contain ingredients that are Super High Potency and have Great Bioavailability- meaning your body can absorb the nutrients better and faster.  They craft their vitamins and minerals in small batches to help ensure consistency and purity, and they strive to make as many products as possible natural & vegetarian.

I've narrowed down THREE of my favorites that have made a permanent home in my suitcase (and regular routine) that have become essential when it comes to constantly being on-the-go. So check them out, add them to your Amazon cart and toss them in your bag...

As I said before, a lot of travel tends to take a toll on my skin. The constant change of climates, airplanes and just about every other environmental change in the book. So as I begin the tenure of my 30's I have to work on my skincare from the inside out. So that means a healthy diet, great products and supplements. Solgar's Skin, Nails and Hair supports collagen, delivers vitamin-c and copper for optimum hair, skin and nail health.

*free of gluten, wheat, dairy, soy, yeast, sugar, sodium, artificial flavor, sweetener, preservatives and color.

And last but certainly not least, Solgar® Melatonin. I 100% experience occasional sleeplessness. If it's not the jet-lag or time-zone change, it's definitely the checklist that I play over and over in my mind as I try to catch some zzz's. Any one else? Melatonin helps regulate my the body's sleep-wake schedule, promotes a relaxed mood and a calm, restful sleep. I'm all about waking up feeling refreshed and revitalized after a long trip.
