2 Ways to Dress Up Your Jeans This Winter

It's official! Jackie and I are bringing back our #twowaystowear series with some bestie looks! First up, pepping up your denim looks for the rest of winter. I'll tell you right now I'm already tired of this winter weather and am in dire need of inspiration moving forward. Real talk: classic denim pieces aren't cutting it for me right now so I need to jazz it up with distressed hemlines and over-the-top embellishments like Jackie's jeans. Both are from ASOS (and on super sale so go grab a pair!)

Anyways, Jackie made her embellished denim pop with gorgeous metallic booties and a faux leopard jacket - Love this look from head to toe! As for my look, you know I love color - so red, for me, is the best way to go to brighten my mood. I topped my distressed hemmed mom  jeans with a bright coat, beret and floral socks (for extra measure)...The perfect antidote for chasing away the winter blues.

5 Reasons Why You Should Be Wearing Black and Navy

Ok, you've seen a lot of this coat lately and I'm sorry but also not sorry because it's REALLY good. I feel like my only complaint is that I literally cannot find it anywhere on the internet. I got it at Bollare event and have never been able to find it to link (Don't worry, I rounded up some cute navy coats below at all price points, so I gotcha covered). As you've previously seen, I've been wearing it with anything and everything lately, one of my favorite pairings being black and navy. This time around I kept the coat and accessories navy with the key pieces like the sweater, pants, bag and shoes in black. I added a smidge extra with the polka dot socks but otherwise it was a super simple look to put together...

ASOS Distressed Hem Mom Jeans

Sometimes life calls for funky earrings, star print booties and distressed hemmed mom jeans. I've been very serious about finding fun pieces of denim lately and these are adorable. Not just because of the cute distressed hemline but because they are actually made for my petite frame! They're actually cropped, nothing is cropped on me, like ever...

I'm feeling a mix of 70's and 90's vibes with this ensemble and I'm kind of obsessed with how it turned out. I mean, these Tuleste pom earrings and the booties - perf!

4 Must-Have New Mom Essentials

Whether it's your first or third baby, those first 12 months of baby's life are a wild rollercoaster. You're sleep deprived, can't decide what of the million must-have products you actually need and spend an endless amount of time obsessing over his or her needs. If you're a mom, you totally know what I'm talking about, and if you're not quite there yet - you're going to find out sooner or later. So in light of making things a little easier on the new mom's life I teamed up with Babbleboxx to share a few essentials that make life a little bit easer...

Let's see what's in the boxx...

You need an endless supply of:
If there's one thing you need a surplus of in your life, it's WIPES. Wipes are always the first thing to disappear in our house. You NEED them for EVERYTHING. Little messes, diaper explosions, you name it - wipes are ESSENTIAL. These Bloom™ Baby Wipes are 98% Natural Ingredients, safe for rash & eczema prone skin and enriched with plant derived vitamins. Guys, they are super soft and mama's sensitive skin approved.

When baby needs more than just a boob (or bottle):
We bee-line straight from breast to food at 6-7 months. The second Indiana looked interested in what we were eating we knew it was time to introduce solids. We mostly stick to baby-led feeding but in a pinch Beech-Nut Organic Oatmeal is great. I've been adding fruit to the baby oatmeal in the mornings and letting him try and feed himself. Sure it's a mess, but he loves it and beams with joy at the independence. I have a few varieties of these in my cabinet and I can honestly say we love them all and don't have to worry about over processed foods entering his little body. Another perk is the easy pour spout and built-in measuring cups.

Something to keep baby entertained:
Indiana is literally in everything these days and he is FAST. So even a couple of minutes of distraction before he moves onto the next thing is great. He saw this Oball and went right for it. The open shapes make it easy to grasp and the tiny beads/rattles make it interesting enough to keep even the shortest of attention-spans interested for longer than a minute or two. Plus, It's super easy to clean and is great for baby shower gifts. Indiana might just be giving this to all of his friends this year.

Something to keep mama looking fresh:
As a longtime Vichy user, I make sure I have these bedside to make sure after even the most sleepless nights my skin looks somewhat refreshed. Hyaluronic Acid is a new moms best friend. I've been using Aqualia Thermal for a few years now and I love how hydrating it is. I slather it on before bed every night. It's not too heavy and leaves my skin feeling soft. For the Mineral 89 Booster, I use it right after washing my face in the morning to help create a moisture barrier before heading out the door into the elements (this is great for the winter!). Just two drops and you're ready to go.

Old Navy Activewear Street Style

I don't know about you but this week was nearly a total wash for me. I swear I got next to nothing done and can't believe it's already Thursday! I don't know what it is about those 4 day week's that make me lose track of time and focus. Whoops. I mean, I can say that I made it to at least one event this week and I got to wear yoga pants so I can call that a win. I popped into Old Navy's Active event for a quick breakfast, preview of the line and fit in a bonus workout. Since it was WAY too cold to sport what I wore under my sweater and coat I made sure my pants packed a little punch of color - love these stripes! Post event, I did my share of pizza eating - you know, to keep me warm ;).
