How To: Oversized Bow Head Scarf

After watching me go scarf crazy over the last couple of months I doubt it is a secret that I love a good scarf. Honestly, it was only a matter of time before I started wearing them in my hair again (3 more ways to tie, here, circa 2010) especially now that the temperature moving from breezy to not so favorable, thus making wearing my hair down on a daily basis a little less than practical. Real talk, heat and even more heat from a blow dryer just doesn't feel ideal especially on a 85˚+ degree day, but I digress, straight to my scarves.

Anyhow, If you've been following along on snapchat (@meganzietz) you might have already seen me getting creative with my scarf game over the last few weeks. This particular styling quite possibly being my favorite. Hello color and lots of volume! I'm taking note from adding volume and texture to my braids and bringing it to my scarf style without the hassle of actually having to do my hair. I can't help but think it's fabulous.

Oh, and it's ridiculously easy.

Basically, you throw your hair into a messy bun and fold a scarf until you reach your desired thickness. (I personally like 2".)
Pull both ends around from the back of your head....
Tie to secure, you're going to want a snug fit (and for it rest just over the tips of your ears).
Tie a big floppy bow.
Pull the bow edges to add volume, if desired.
Yep, it was that easy.

Now, go be fabulous with your new scarf tying skills.
