Fashion Week Beauty Prep

09 February 2016

Hooray, Fashion Week kicks off this week. First off, I'll be the first to tell you how not amused I am about the weather conditions of this week, especially with last week's Spring temperatures. I guess winter is happening, now? And because I've been sick almost every other week since the new year I have to keep it practical {ie: I'll be warm but I wont be cute}. So, with this week's festivities calling for a pile of layers I might as well have a decent beauty routine in my corner for when I show up to shows sporting a parka. Thus, me sharing some of my key favorites and asking for some suggestions to get the ball moving.

First up, the hair. Now, that it's colored and cut - thanks to Sally & Spoke and Weal, I think it's safe to say I'm ready in this corner. But, it doesn't hurt to have a little extra hydration so I'm sticking with  Lee Stafford's Breaking Hair Treatment ($15) twice a week for smooth sailing.

Second, skin. Origins is launching the first ever mask primer, Maskimizer, this Friday and guys, it's amazing. I've been using it for the last couple of weeks with my favorite charcoal mask and it is incredible. I literally spritz it on my skin, pat, and apply mask like usual. It's super hydrating and Maskimizes {see what I did there} the results. Boom. Best idea ever? Pretty darn close.

Eyes & Lips. If there's one thing I'll be wearing in excess this week it's this lipstick and mascara. I'm almost always wearing neutral lip colors but Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick in Honey Bare is my current favorite. Anyone have a current lip fave they want to share?
As for nails, I haven't gotten that far yet. Any suggestions on colors? Also, I'm looking for a new primer - any one have a current favorite?

Xo.
