For me, smooth legs are an essential when it comes to my summer style routine. But more often than not I feel like I’m chained to my razor every few days. It’s less than ideal because let’s be real, there are so many other fun things we’d rather be doing once summer finally hits, and worrying about stubble is not one of them.

Which is why I’m always on the hunt to extend my legs for just a few days longer. So, today I’m sharing 4 of my favorite ways to keep my legs looking great, longer.

1. Exfoliate
First Up, Prep! In most cases hair removal is extremely drying for the skin so sloughing off the dead skin before you shave or wax helps keeps things silky and smooth. These days there are so many options out there but it’s just as easy to create your own with items straight from your kitchen cabinets. I’m partial to my coconut oil & sugar scrub. It’s super easy and all you need is equal parts coconut oil & sugar. Mix until you build up to consistency you like and apply. Gently rub in a circular motion, let sit for 5 minutes and rinse with warm water. It’s like a facial for your legs

2. Skip The Razor
Forget the razor and opt for a hair removal gel cream like Veet Spray On Cream Hair Remover for an even closer ‘shave’. It doubles the time spent in between “shaves” and is less of a hassle.

3. Moisturize
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! It’s important ladies, but you already know that. Immediately after hair removal, generously apply a shea butter based moisturizer to hydrate your skin. {extra points if you grab a shea & green tea or coffee based moisturizer to for more toned looking skin.}

4. Self Tanner/Color/Shimmer?
Last but certainly not least, color. Did you know a little shimmer actually hides flaws?
Kind of awesome, right? So when opting for a self tanner, moisturizer or additional color, look for one that has a {slight, read: slight, don’t go all studio54 on me} shimmer to it.
