Oscars 2014 Style: Color

03 March 2014

Last night I spent the Oscars indulging in some treats and champagne with the ladies of Glam via the Soho House screening room. Which as it turns out is really how viewing the Oscars should be. This time around I got a big screen glance at what the stars were wearing, and while I loved the nude sparkling gowns on just about everyone I appreciated the use of a little color. From Cinderella blue on Lupita to a plunging ruby gown spied on Pink during her performance, I was (ironically) feeling the colors of the rainbow. The pastels alone gave me hope for spring...
In which I was inspired  to add a little color to my week in this fabulous red skirt. Now, since it's still practically the arctic out there I still had to layer up but it was all instantly brightened with this perfect pop of color from the waist down. I couldn't help but finish off my otherwise all black look with a crimson pout to keeps things on key.

What were you loving last night?
jacket and top lulu's, boots sole society, bag caroline hill, skirt spiegel
