NYFW SS 2013 Trends: Black And White Prints

09 September 2012

After seeing many delightful sneak peaks into Spring 2013 during the first day of runway shows at NYFW, I can already tell we are in for some exciting trends--some new, some classic. Personally, I am always a sucker for the reinvented classic, which is why these artful and edgy black and white prints particularly caught my eye.

Designers Kaelen and BCBGMAXAZRIA have taken black and white and given it a rough yet accessible edge with abstract florals and brushstrokes--prints that are usually featured in vibrant hues. Give your wardrobe a bit of moody intrigue with a great black and white jumper or jacket!

When thinking of jewelry, why not give this look a bit of warmth with some gold? Shining gold pieces will really let the texture of these prints come to life. Go for structure as well to juxtapose the blurred edges in the prints for a look with layers upon layers of fashion-forward goodness!

Happy Fashion Week, everyone!
