When It Comes To Macy's

18 January 2012

One of my favorite department stores growing up, had to be Macy’s.  To a kid the store was enormous and had everything you needed from shoes to clothing, makeup and even electronics. Not to mention their own parade, but that’s for another time. It would seem that not much has changed over the years, they still have it all and more, now I’m not only looking for this season’s color blocked platform for me, but men’s dress shoes for the husband, baby clothes for the baby and even new sheets for Aiden.
And with sales and deep discounts going on just about every weekend it makes shopping a whole lot easier, and wallet friendly. Not to mention Macy’s has jumped on the designer (budget friendly) collaboration train, teaming up with household names like Lagerfeld, Williamson and Valli to make gorgeous pieces with their esthetics just without the price tag.
And when I’m not in the mood to hit the store, I just jump online to shop for my favorite makeup, shoes and items not sold in stores, without even having to get dressed or even face the elements.  With free shipping on all orders over $99, who wouldn’t want to spend a little time browsing the what seems to be an endless website.

Macy's was my go-to growing up too. I wish we had a better one in the city. I just can't bring myself to that Herald Square tourist trap.
