Guest Post - Fashion Momma

08 May 2011

Hi, Frugalista Diaries readers! My name is Kimberly and I'm the blogger behind Fashion Momma. I firmly believe that life after giving birth should still include getting pretty and playing dress-up in your closet. Like Megan, I also completely advocate affordable clothing that makes mommas and all women, alike, look and feel their best! While Megan is taking some time to recoup and get to know the newest addition to her family, she asked me to step in for a day. I wanted to share something with all of you that I've never really shared on my blog, and that's a bit of my own pregnancy! I gave birth to my daughter on January 31, 2009 and she has completely changed my life for the better. I thoroughly enjoyed pregnancy (except the last few weeks) and can't wait to do it, again!

Here are some of my favorite shots from our professional maternity shoot with Jackie Ranson Photography
Pregnancy is so beautiful and as all of you know, Megan has been able to show us that through her entire
9 (okay 10+) months!
Five important things that everyone should know after a friend or loved one gives birth:
1. If she has five minutes, let her sleep.
2. If she has 10 minutes to shower, let her sleep, instead.
3. Cook for her and bring take-out home. New moms are grounded from cooking.
I made that one up and I'm sticking to my guns on it! I didn't cook for at least a month!
4. Breasts are gonna be all over the place. And they are for feeding.
5. If you are visiting and momma falls asleep, let her sleep. Hold that baby and let her sleep!

Here's to you and new baby Zietz, Megan! We are all wishing you and your family well and can't wait to meet him!
Thank you so much for having me at The Frugalista Diaries while you're away!
And readers, I'd love to have you stop by and say, "Hi!" at Fashion Momma (and don't forget to find me on Twitter!)

Thank you for allowing me to guest post while you brought Evan home, safely! It means even more that the feature came on Mother's Day! I'm so glad you're both home!
