Bun in The Oven

The Frugalista Diaries,

I am about 6 months pregnant and I'm looking for pretty maternity dresses, so far all I've found were drab, dowdy dresses. I don't want to wear maternity pants or shorts just because they're unflattering. So I need some ideas for some fabulous maternity dresses, obviously on the cheaper side of things. Thanks in advance.

I hear you on that one! When I was pregnant with my son last year, I was on a mission to not wear maternity pants, I had one pair my mom bought me and I hated wearing them. If you end up wanting to wear pants or shorts at some point I recommend the BeBand, it works wonders. Or - a little more of a DIY trick (be sure to be wearing a longer shirt) is take a hair tie and attach it to the loop of your pants and then the button, it acutally works and it's (practically) free. As far as dresses go, I was a huge fan of long flowing maxi dresses, I felt like it gave this earth mama goddess look. And PS with flowy or empire waisted dresses you don't have to get them in maternity just get the next size up.

Here are some of my picks for you from Gap, Target and Asos... All under $50 of course.
