A Little Chain (Giveaway)

It's kind of obvious that I wear a lot of gold tones here on the blog, which is funny because if  you asked me years ago if I'd ever wear gold, I'd probably laugh and walk away - my how things change. Now, as much I have love my bright metallic friend, gold, I also love it's little sister, silver. And since I'm all about equal opportunities I thought this chain link bracelet from Sira & Mara Usa (which can double as a necklace) would be the perfect addition to my ever growing accessory drawer(s). Cute right? And for $15 - it's a steal and goes perfectly with my new Oasap Shirt, yeah I had to get black ;)

And being that I love you guys to experience the fun part of this job, I've teamed up with Sira & Mara USA to give one lucky reader my newest addition 'bracelet 48' - $15 Value - Goodluck!

Campus Edge

One of my favorite places in Sarasota just so happens to be at the end of a college campus right on the water, we often frequent the area with picnics, picture taking and the obvious, letting the boys explore . It's actually turned out to be one of our most 'cherished' secret places close to home.

With A Little Tulle

I've been lusting after a pleated maxi dress for quite sometime and I actually purchased the org. Halston Heritage maxi that Carrie Bradshaw wore in SATC2, turns out it way too big and it went back, so for these past couple of years I've been stewing just waiting for the right one to come along, and finally it did. Tulle's Maxi Dress fell into my mailbox, and then immediately found a nice little home in my closet with favorite status (I literally wore three days in a row). And though it's quite different then the original lusted piece I love that it gives me the chance to show off my shoes (which I don't get to do too much in maxis) and it fits a little slimmer to the body on the bottom tier. It's fun, perfect for the ending days of summer and will definitely makes it way into fall.  Ladies, best part - $54 (marked down from $78). Well spent.

Stay tuned because coming up we'll giving up a $100 gift card to Tulle's newest sister site, Laughping.com. I know some of you have heard of it via my tweets a few days back and have already snagged some pieces, so I know you're going to love it.

Happy Maxi Monday! Xo.

This Week...

So this week has been like a roller coaster, bringing lots of ups and lots of downs, I guess the ups were there to catch up downs, right? But I'll take it, I have some great opportunities coming up and I cannot wait to share with you! Plus I did a little shopping, I snagged some summer sweaters from Old Navy for under $8 for the two of them, best buy ever. With that being said I'm going to open with my newly acquired dresses from London Times (By Maggie London)...Best part, most of their dresses are well under $100!
The most practical bag to come for me has to be from SnapSac, eco-friendly shopping bags for under $5 -  Hello Fashionista Shopping Bag, Grocery Shopping Just Got Chicer. Obviously I'm going to have to get some more..
These have been made two more times since this post on last Sunday, don't judge - try and you will feel my pain. Two Words... Nutella.Cookies. (in 10 minutes!)
Evan decided this week that he was a frog, a darn cute frog at that - who later rocked a mohawk but I won't bore you too much with baby pictures.
And finally the best $90 spent all year had to go to buying a membership at our aquarium, we've been at least 4 times in the last week, and it serves for inspiration purposes for potentially going back into designing - hello bold colors! Oh, and the boys are thrilled (all three of them) - of.course.they.are.
Have a great weekend. Xo.

Texture & A Giveaway

You ever have one of those days where you look in your closest and you're like eh, I just feel like wearing a tee today? I feel like this summer that's happened more often than not, but since I lack tees, pathetic I know, I can't always opt for that. However in this case, I put a little spin on it and played with texture, prints and colors. Love?

Inspired With Intel Part 2

You may remember my last Inspired With Intel post highlighting some of my favorite forms of inspiration when it comes to style, all while showing off Intel's new sleek ultra book, the ultimate accessory for the the budding fashionista. So of course, what better way than to start off part two than with some inspiring textures that make getting dressed and cultivating my style so fun.

Since inspiring me back in 2010 via Carrie Bradshaw, I've been mad about pleats in all forms and finally snagged a red pleated maxi. They're the ultimate lady like texture (next to ruffles) and have the ability to transform from possible school girl to chic and edgy.
Geometric Shapes
More and more shapes are appearing in the construction of accessories and I have been more and more inspired by the dainty little pieces of jewelry with intricate detailing, like this embellished arrow.
 Texture Mixing
I love the idea of playing with texture when putting my outfits together and of course it's an even bigger plus when the designer and brand does it for you, I love how they paired the eyelet with a suede oversized bow.
I also love how for this wedge they combined tribal, leather and espadrille with this wedge, it's the perfect summer statement shoe.
Since shoes are one of my biggest weaknesses, I pay very close attention to detail. And with braiding's  subtle yet classic nature it gives subtle yet pretty detail to an otherwise ordinary sandal.
 Leopard, again..
I know I mentioned leopard in my last post, but after receiving this blazer I felt even more inspiration with my favorite 'neutral'. The options are endless.
 Fringe, Color and Ruffles
It's not every day you see ruffles side by side fringe but I have to say it surprisingly works and I love that they incorporated color in to the layout.
 Delicate Details
When it comes to simplicity, delicate details are a perfect fit, whether it's on the hemline or even across the bodice, it gives just the right amount of pop without the added fuss.
With just a  touch of shine these patent leather standouts get more recognition and become more dressed up for a night on the town. Shine is well used in nail color, handbags and even lip color ...
Giving an otherwise simple manicure a touch of metallic brightens up the whole feel, I also love seeing metallics being incorporated back into separates and accessories.

Tortoise Shell

I've been looking for a pair of tortoise shell cat eyes for quite some time, since my beloved Old Navy's broke months back. So when I stumbled upon these DKNY frames from one of my lovely sponsors Sunglasses-Shop, I knew I had to have them - and though they're not as oversized as I originally thought, they give just the right amount of retro to even the simplest look.  And just in case you haven't heard of Sunglasses Shop, you might want to look into them for their comparative prices on designer shades, they even have my weakness, Ray Bans.
