Charleston is another one of those southern gems that I just happened to fall for. Aside from it being rooted in serious history, it's a sight to see at least once. Whether it's a cruise along the harbor, or shopping down King Street, you're bound to find something the peaks you're fancy. For me, I was all about the walking. Give me a walking town and I'll wander for hours on end.
I personally couldn't resist the lush flower boxes on every corner, they turned out to be the perfect backdrop for a slew of outfit pictures while Jackie and I were in town. That being said it was all about the outfits and packing for the season. Since it gets extremely warm and humid in the summer I highly recommend you pack light layers like a denim jacket for a cool night and easy separates like t-shirts and skirts for warmer afternoons in the sun. I mostly opted for light summer dresses but packed a couple of jumpsuits. Definitely pack a pair of sneakers and comfy sandals, you're going to be doing a lot of walking and you have no time for blisters and aches! Sure, go ahead and put a pair of heels in for a night out but I'll tell you now that you're going to opt for something comfortable...
