One of my favorite things about spring and summer in the NYC is the blooms spread throughout the city. Initially you wouldn't think that New York had very many trees, plants and flowers but after looking past the skyscrapers one finds tons of fruiting plants and gardens throughout the neighborhoods. My neighborhood in particular has everything from figs to apricots to apple and cherry trees. For me, I find it fascinating to be in such an urban environment with so much surrounding nature. I love it. Of course there's tons of flowering trees and plants along the sidewalks making for the perfect backdrop for summer styles. This particular tree had me swooning with it's lush white blooms that matched the flowers on my kimono to a T.
