4 Reasons Why Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa Might Be For You

Ah, Mexico. You were a dream. After a few days back in the city I'm ready to book my next trip and revisit our few days in the sun.

You might have caught from my social posts that I was staying at the Dreams Resort and Spa in Tulum. It was beautiful and I would jump at the opportunity to stay there again, this time with family in tow. Therefore, I've rounded up four of my favorite reasons why Dreams Tulum might be the perfect fit for you - because let's be real, we all have our lists when it comes to booking vacations...

You Want Lush Tropical Surroundings
Tulum is a hotspot in Mexico and the property did not disappoint. Lush tropical plants surrounding the Mexican colonial architecture nestled on white sandy beaches. It gave me plenty of places to stop for pics. and left me feeling right at home. I stayed in a Junior Deluxe Suite with a gorgeous view of the water and pool. No city-sizing here folks, my bathroom could have easily been as big or bigger than my living room in the city. I personally loved the tile throughout, the Mexican decor and the furnished balcony. There was a desk next to the balcony that would have made working in paradise amazing, but I didn't have much time for work - I was too busy relaxing and taking in the sights.

There are two pools: one for activities and one for the Unlimited-Luxury® experience. Past the two pools is a huge beach with tons of chairs, private cabanas and a dedicated wait service to bring you snacks and premium cocktails while you soak up the sun. Bars are located throughout the property and I definitely had my share of Pina coladas, chips, and guacamole over our two day trip.

You Have Kids
I'll start by saying my kids would love this place! First off - a beach with pools, unlimited food AND an Explorer's club just for them. It would be hard to get them to go home after this experience. The Explorer's club is a great option for kids from 3-12, it's a fully supervised adventure and activity center equipped with a water playground with 6 waterslides. Plus it gives Mom and Dad a little break to relax or get in a meal alone. It's included in your Unlimited-Luxury® privileges.

Not traveling with or don't have kids? Dream Tulum also has kid-free zones (rooms and areas).

All-Inclusive & Budget Friendly Luxury
At around $168 per night in April, Dreams Tulum is the perfect spot to relax for a few days (or even a week). One of my favorite things about the Dreams Tulum is that it's all-inclusive. Everything is included in your reservation with no extra fees or gratuities added. I'm personally all for this, especially if the kids are in tow. If you have kids, you get it- despite having just eaten, they're hungry again and can be unexpectedly picky. The property offers 6 restaurants with multiple cuisine options + 24 hour room service, so they're bound to find something that their 'refined' tastebuds like.

Activities & Entertainment
Not one for relaxing by the pool all day? Don't fret there's dozens of activities offered throughout the property during the day including dance sessions, yoga on the beach, cocktail and cooking lessons, snorkeling and hiking (just to name a few). Nicole and I tried our hand at kayaking, one of my favorite water sports. They also have amazing entertainment options like acrobatic shows, pool parties and live music. On our last night we were treated to a tequila tasting...

Want to explore? The resort is near local excursions, shopping and dining. Local points include the town of Tulum, ancient Mayan ruins and the world's 2nd largest barrier reef - a few that I've added to my list for my next trip...

A special thank you to Dreams Resort and Spa Tulum for hosting me last week, it was such a pleasure to call you home for a few days.
