Small Sips With Evolution Fresh®

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Evolution Fresh® for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
Now that coffee is out of the picture for the next several months (blah, thanks pregnancy) I've found myself reaching for more baby friendly alternatives for my morning routine. One of which is a longtime favorite, green juice. It's basically the easiest way to get my daily fruits and vegetables in one serving at the beginning of the day. Because, real talk I don't always hit my daily suggested serving size for some reason or another. It happens to the best of us. Now, usually I'm all for busting out the juicer and making it on my own with a healthy amount of fresh produce, but since my energy is lately on the low side, I'm going with the easier route and picking up the already bottled versions. No judgement.  One of my longtime personal favorites is Evolution Fresh®, of whom I have been a fan of since the delicious juices first hit shelves a few years back at Whole Foods.

Now they're easily found at a variety of local grocery stores, and Starbucks, which lucky for me just so happens to be around the corner.  Evolution Fresh cold presses their juice by high-pressure processing to protect nutrients and taste. I'm all about the smooth greens & kale medley of go-to greens with potassium, a splash of tropical sweetness and a smooth mint finish (with a paltry 7grams of sugar per 8 fl. oz serving). Each bottle of green juice contains 10 g of sugar or less per 8 fluid ounce serving, so you're not sacrificing anything when you reach for that bottle.  I usually drink one whole Evolution Fresh throughout the first part of the day, starting when I wake up in the morning. I will usually finish it off at around my pre-lunch snack break and pair it with a little bit of protein to keep me moving. I have gotten into the habit of putting a cup of plain yogurt together with a handful of nuts or granola. This with my bottle of juice is my favorite way to start off the morning. I do have to admit, however, that I have found myself cheating on my healthy food choices with a bowl of organic cocoa crispies every now and then (it's all about moderation... and pregnancy cravings). As far as pre-lunch snacks and lunch go, I with often end up with eggs with a decent amount of hot sauce and a side of avocado or sliced bananas. To finish the day, we will usually have some sort of protein and a heaping pile of vegetables, depending on the night. One essential do-not-miss throughout the day is water. Staying hydrated in key whether you're at home trying to make a deadline or popping into a grueling barre or spin class. This is something that everyone knows, but is so easy to let slip. I suggest recycling & refilling your Evolution Fresh bottles with water several times a day to keep you in the habit of drinking water regularly. Plus, you get to reuse that bottle a few times at least before you recycle it. With the new year upon us and each year's new goals in a brighter direction I suggest keeping it simple. Start small and get your body moving, even if it is just walking to work instead of taking a cab. It's the little things that help get you into the routine.  Learn more & see if Evolution Fresh is available near you.
