Picnic Basket Essential: SunChipsⓇ Veggie Harvest

It’s finally picnic season. It’s time to break out the checkered blankets and find a nice place in the shade to lounge for the afternoon. Of course all picnics aren’t complete without snacks, right? I am not exaggerating when I say that one of my favorite snacks since I was a kid is SunChips®. There’s just something about that wavy, whole grain chip that pops when it comes to snack selection. I love the taste and find it’s a snack I can feel good about. I know I’m not the only one who loves them...

So I was pretty excited when SunChips® rolled out with two new veggie-infused offerings: Veggie Harvest Farmhouse Ranch, and Tomato Basil and Cheese, just in time for my trip to North Carolina. Who can resist kicking into vacation mode and relaxing on the dock with a handful or two of Tomato Basil and Cheese or Farmhouse Ranch? Not me. They’ve become an instant picnic basket staple. I can guarantee that mine will not be lacking one or both this season.

Like most SunChips®, the Veggie Harvest flavors are packed with whole grains and are sans preservatives and artificial flavors. The only difference is the addition of real peas to bring out the veggie. Each variety comes with a 140 calorie serving size {about 14 chips} and is available at most grocers for under $4. If your grocer is lacking, ask the store manager if they can order some for you- they’re that good. If you’re not in the mood for a big bag variety they also come in snack sizes.

Enjoy them alone or with some of your favorite dips like hummus or Greek yogurt, to round out the flavor.
