Walgreens Beauty: Smokey Metallic Eyes

Fashion Week is about taking risks in style, accessories, makeup and even hair. Some risks, though, are hard to take. Example: I can’t quit my kitten-lined eyes for the life of me. So to help me take the leap, I drew inspiration from some of the shows for Spring 2016 that skipped the liner and gave shadow a stage of its own. While blue was a huge color in the beauty department for Spring 2016, I’m not entirely ready to go that route with fall just around the corner. However I did grab inspiration from the layering of shadows and blending two colors together. I opted for two of my favorite metallics together using some of my favorites from the Walgreens beauty department for a more Fall-ready look that can be worn from day to night and added on to if need {ie: If I can’t go another second without my liner}.

Get The Look:
After giving my face a light once-over with cream foundation and a touch of concealer, I gave my cheeks and temples some color with No7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer. I didn’t want it to be too bronzed so I kept things light to avoid clashing with my eye makeup.

Next, the first layer of eye shimmer from Color Prevails in Metallic Steel. I applied and blended from the corner of my eye to the crease, keeping it subtle. Then, I took the Circa Color Saturated Eye Crayon in Pure Topaz and filled in the rest of the eye, blending the two.

Completing the look with No7 Lash Impact Intense Volume Control Mascara in Black and a light layer of Circa Lustrous Lip Polish in Chiffon Glow.
