For me, Fall is the season I look forward to all year. I love the change of the leaves, the crisp feeling in the air and naturally, the fashion. There’s something about pulling out my chunky knits and piling on the layers. Then there’s the boots, no outfit is complete without the right boots, and they seem to get better every year.
This season I wanted my new addition to be modern and stylish but still offer protection from the elements here in the city. I wanted something I could wear wandering through the park sipping a cinnamon latte or to a quick lunch meeting, rain or shine. Which is probably why I opted for the SOREL Medina III, it’s bold, refined and even a little elegant. SOREL never disappoints when it comes to new shapes, craftsmanship and detail. I think it’s safe to say things are getting a little sleeker this year. I personally love the ease of slipping it on my foot through the (stretchy!) neoprene opening and then adjusting the strap at the ankle. It’s simple, and I’m out the door without having to worry about stuck zipper or laces. Oh, and they’re comfortable. I spent the entire day, hopping around the city and never once considered I was wearing heels.
Wear them now to toughen up summer dresses and then later, pairing effortlessly with an oversized sweater and scrunched down socks. I ended up putting today’s outfit together quite by accident, I was trying on the shoes fresh out of the box and caught the reflection of them paired with the dress and leather jacket and was immediately drawn to the textures styled together. Adding a pop of bordeaux to get the in a fall state of mind...
