NYFW Lipstick Diary With Burt's Bees

For me, Fashion Week isn't just about the clothes, as fabulous as they are, it's everything that goes into it. From the music to the set to the hair, nails and makeup. It's all part of a bigger picture. This year, for me at least, that picture is all about lips.

So far this season, almost every lip color I've walked out the door in has also been spotted on the Spring 2016 runway. We're talking soft neutrals at Nicholas K & Opening Ceremony, light shimmering pastel pinks at Wes Gordon, and apricot at Nicole Miller. Even Francesca Liberatore's lip resembled my first day pout. While I'd love to take all of the credit, most of it has to go to Burt's Bees and their seemingly endless selection of products in over 45 shades. Offering everything from sheer color and intense conditioning to rich, nourishing pearlized color. Matte, Shine, Shimmer, oh my... {Best part, they're all well under $10 a pop}

Most of the products have been in my purse and beauty cabinet for years. One of my personal favorites, that I wear almost every day, is the Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands. Rich color, soft nourishing formula and pretty awesome staying power. Plus the neutral, go with the everything hue flawless pairs with just about everything in my closet. I'm also pretty partial to the 100% Natural Lip Gloss, Lip Shine and Lip Shimmer lines. The lip shimmer's vibrantly hued, build able formula is perfect alone or layered and paired with the Lip Shine and Gloss. I'm in love with Fig.

Check out what Burt's Bees products I'm wearing this week at New York Fashion Week.
