Target Beauty: All About Brows

This post is sponsored by Target.
Brows: You may not think about it, but I’d have to say they’re one of the most important features on your face, aside from your smile. They literally have the ability to make or break a look. I’ll be the first to admit that it’s new territory for me, and that just this past year I started making an effort to get more serious with their inclusion in my makeup routine. Now I can’t imagine being confined to just grooming. So, for this month’s Target beauty post, Pixi by Petra sent over a box full of goodies with brows in mind. I put together two fall-ready looks: one for day and one for nightboth with emphasis on brows and lips. I almost favor the day look because of the simplicity and how it still managed to pop with nearly no other makeup. Which is your favorite?

For day:
First, I prepped my face with a tinted moisturizer and lightly gave my skin a once-over with Pixi’s Color Correcting Powder Foundation in No. 1.

Next, the brows. I am OBSESSED with the Pixi Natural Brow Duo (in natural brown). There’s a pencil on one end and gel with brush on the other. I first drew in some of my light spots with the pencil and finished with the gel for a fuller effect. To highlight the brow and lids, I reached for the Pixi Brow Palette in Shades of Brows using the lightest shade. Finishing the look with a coat of Pixi Large Lash Mascara and Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick in Petal Pink.

For night:
I decided to build on my day look because, really, who has time to wash everything off and start over again? So I added a little more depth to my brows with the Pixi Endless Brow Gel Pen in light. I added another coat of mascara and light layer of Pixi Correction Concealer in Brightening Peach before adding some color to my life. I gave my Endless Brow Gel Pen double duty by giving my eyes a quick line. Next, I added a light dotting of Pixi Sheer Cheek Gel in Rosy to my apples and a swipe of Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick in Raspberry Blush before finishing with Pixi’s new Makeup Fixing Mist for maximum staying power.
