From The Walgreens Beauty Aisle: Welcome To The 60’s

With Summer beginning to wrap up, I’ve set my sights on testing out more Fall-ready beauty looks before heading to Fashion Week next month. Naturally, starting with one of my personal favorites, which was seen on the Fall 2015 runways: The 60’s. We already know I’m in full-blown retro mode for Fall, so I’m sure that it doesn’t come as a surprise for me to match the makeup to style.

Which is why I’m teaming up with Walgreens to create a more modern take on one of my favorite beauty trends of all time. First off, if you haven’t seen the beauty department at Walgreens recently, you need to hightail it over and check it out. The selection and quality is on point, which is probably why I’m frequenting the beauty aisles just about every week. It doesn’t hurt that there’s one right down the street, and it’s affordable.
Ok, a little bit about the look. It’s no secret that I’m all about the cat eye, but I wanted something with a little more pop than my usual black on black. So, the Circa Vivid Vinyl Eye Liner in Vibrant Emerald paved the way to help change things up. It’s subtle, is not too green, and has just the right shade and shimmer to break away from the usual. It quickly became the star of the show, pairing flawlessly with a rosy glow and a chiffon-pink lip. Hello, new favorite beauty look.

The New Favorites:

No7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer

Get The Look:
First, prep your face with Boots Botanics All Bright Radiance Balm. {I just ditched my high-end primer for this one. It makes my skin brighter and makeup goes on seamlessly}. Apply foundation or tinted moisturizer to create a base.

Next, gently line your eye from the inside out with Circa Vivid Vinyl Eye Lining Fluid in Vibrant Emerald to create a cat eye. Touch up as needed. Apply 1-2 coats of No7 Lash Impact Mascara in Black, let dry. Apply another coat for a bold lash.

Now, the rosy glow. Softly touch your brush into the No7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer and gently apply slightly below the apples of the cheeks. Blend up to your apples and soften. With the Boots Botanics Radiance Highlighter Pen add a few dots above your cheekbones and blend.

Finish by giving your lips a good swipe of Circa Shine Lip Polish in Chiffon Glow.

Voilà!
I think it’s safe to say this beauty look goes hand in hand with “The Bonnie” dress, who’s with me?
