Loose Side Braid & Waves

When it comes to summer hair I like to stretch the time between washes as often and for as long as possible. So, naturally I rely on certain styles to help me maintain that and braids find themselves at the top of the list. I am partial to a side braid with loose waves. for two reasons. One, it hides my 'problem area' (aka greasy bangs); and two, it is ridiculously easy to create.  A simple, fun twist on a summer classic.

So,  this week I've teamed up with Suave to share with you how I create my summer go to hairstyle in as little as three to four steps, check it out!

Summer Side Braid & Loose Waves

2. Next, grab a few pieces at the top of your head, separate and start to braid. Continue adding pieces to the braid from the sides all the way down. Pin back.

3. Loosely pull at the outer braid pieces to give them more volume and texture.

4. Give your hair a once over with a 1" styling wand for loose, undone waves.

Voila! A fabulous side braid paired with loose waves to make stretching your hair a day or two longer look fabulous.
