Just Add A Belt

While I'm not enthusiastic that the weather is still reading "Hey, you have to wear a coat" I figured I'd soften the blow by mixing up my winter coats by adding a belt to the mix. Now it's less winter essential and with a little more style. {Why I didn't think of it sooner is beyond me}. Plus It's a little more Spring feeling with the addition of booties and cuffed jeans.

Navy and Grey

Since the weather can't really make up it's mind on what it really wants to do, or should do, I figured I should start adding subtle pops of color to keep myself from falling into another all black rut. I obviously had to wear these shoes from last week's Payless post {I love them and they're perfect with this jacket}, regardless of the snow on the ground.

Throwback Thursday Style: Almost Spring

Looking back at last year's pictures from March made it pretty clear that we're way behind in the Spring department, that or I had a knack for inappropriate weather dressing. Either way it has me a little jealous that I'm still in Over the knee boots and heavy outerwear, for the most part. I'm more than ready to just stuff those coats in my closet and forget about them until November, even December. So, while I can't quite dress the part at the moment I can remember back to last year for this week's Throwback Thursday Style.

Cashmere and The City

Now that it's kind of feeling a little more like Spring these days I figured it was time to toss my thick outerwear aside in favor of some heavenly cashmere from Garnet Hill. I can never resist a good cashmere which is probably why I've been wearing the sweater non stop for the last several days, it's just too perfect. But this time around, for an afternoon in Central Park I threw on my black 'rockstar' pants from Old Navy and Moto boots toughen things up a bit.

Spring Beauty Essentials Under $20

Now that's it's finally Spring I've started rotating my winter beauty essentials out for more Spring savvy beauty products. I personally am all for adding a little more color to my beauty routine in the form of peach, coral and light pops of pink so these bareMinerals Pop of Passion Oil Balms are the perfect addition, I'm obsessed with them. And since my hair in in much need of a little hair TLC these Lee Stafford products have made their way onto my daily routine (I'm also obsessed with the shampoo, smells so good!). EVERYONE has been talking about this Micellar water, so I jumped on the bandwagon and gave it a try. I absolutely love it. Burt's Bees Sedona Sands is the perfect nude lip for under $10. Pink and Plaid

Now that I can finally ditch my heavy winter coats I'm reaching for lighter and brighter outerwear to fit the bill until I can step out without extra layers. I couldn't resist these wide leg plaid pants paired (last seen here) with this bright pink coat and my newest DSW steal, this black bag. Obsessed.

Joanna Baker Illustration Giveaway!

If you follow me on Instagram you may have caught this amazing Illustration of one of my Fashion Week looks by Joanna Baker. I'm kind of obsessed but that's not even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her work, it's amazing. The girl does it all, and I pretty much want every single print for my apartment. Hello Gallery Wall! It's almost impossible to pick a favorite but I'd have to say I favor the Spots Art Print and the Tulips, only because I could totally pass them off as unisex in my testosterone filled home. Out of room for more art prints? Check out her Coasters, Greeting Cards (I just bought this one) and Journals!

So, with all the being said I've teamed up with the lovely Joanna Baker this weekend and we are giving one lucky reader the item of their choice from Joanna's shop. Follow the rafflecopter instructions below and share your favorite piece in the comment section below!

Easter Style With Payless

Now that things are finally starting to warm up I can start setting my sites on all things Spring, most importantly putting together my Easter style, one piece at a time.  A couple weeks back while doing a little shopping I popped into Payless to check out their Spring collection and ended up leaving with these gorgeous navy lace up oxfords for a whopping $15. I immediately knew they would be the ideal Spring addition due to their bold hue and shape. Also, I couldn't even think about resisting that steal. Thus they made it into my cart along with a new pair of espadrilles. Naturally, their first debut would be best for Easter with a cheery coat and bright floral dress with the addition of tights because it's not quite {full on} bare leg weather.

Now, I know you remember last month's Christian Siriano for Payless post so you don't need me to remind you how great Payless selection is these days. Well, maybe you do, but these shoes are sure to remind you all over again. And with their amazing price points you're sure to stock up without even coming close to breaking the bank whether it's for getting glam for Easter or adding a little color to your Spring wardrobe.

In Review: ClassPass

Truth be told I've been slacking on my workout regime for the last couple of years now, I wont even pretend that I love working out, especially from home. I actually loathe it. Luckily when we moved back to NYC the walking and trekking groceries really did it for me. It was a full on {lifestyle} work out several days a week and I was totally ok with that. But this Winter got a whole lot of nope from me.

Well, until I got a little inspiration from ClassPass. Just under $100 a month for unlimited classes/workouts from studios in your area. They're now located in over 12 cities, and rapidly growing so if they're not near you yet they probably will be soon. Which is awesome. You're going to love it.

I've started to get myself in a routine. On a given day I would kick things off with Yoga, go get some work done and then look for a barre or kickboxing class from my desk and be home in time to cook dinner. They even have an iphone app, so if the mood strikes you on the go you can look up the nearest class and drop right on in. Boom. It's pretty much the best thing to happy to working out since yoga pants, possibly even better.

disclosure: ClassPass gave me a free trial for the sole purpose of this review but as always all opinions are 100% my own.

More Magenta

Now that the weather is leaning in my favor I figured it was time to start adding a little more color to my usually black wardrobe. First up, this bright maxi skirt! I even let my trusty black moto jacket sit this one out while I gave this Sam Edelman crackle jacket a place in the (almost) sun. Also, if  you're looking for a silver chain link bag for under $35, I just snagged this one from DSW, obsessed.
