Spots and Dots
I don't know about you but I am craving the days where I can comfortably wear cute tops and playful shorts. And while I can't go bare legged just yet, I figured added some tights and my cozy coat might give me some fulfillment to hold me over until Spring...
Purple Punch
When I spied this skirt a few weeks back for under $10 I just couldn't resist adding it to my cart. After all, it is in the color of the year for it's a bargain if you ask me. Plus, we all know I can't resist a playful mini.. Since it's too damn cold to wear it bare legged, tights and this cozy sweater were obviously in order.
Ps. Bows on my toes..

Grammys 2014 Style - Hats Off
The Grammys, it's kind of a red carpet freebie. You're supposed to get creative and even kooky (er, Avant Garde) when get planning your look. Sure, we have some glamour girls in flawless Golden Globe & Oscar worthy gowns strutting down the carpet, but it's mostly the previous. And I'm ok with that. This time around, it was apparently all about hats. Most of them were pretty awful, but they were also a big statement maker. I mean, everyone was talking about Pharrell's and Madonna's, thus making it a little more memorable than say, Taylor's pretty gold gown (which I loved by the way).
So with that being said, today's One of A Kind Red Carpet style is all about Hats and how to wear it off the red carpet, the right way...

From Willie Nelson to Neil Young, hats made all sorts of noise on the red carpet, even serial hat wearer, Yoko Ono and crew were spotted in a some stylish headwear. Of course my personal favorite (and easily memed) was Pharrell in his more than mountie hat designed by Vivienne Westwood. It's so wrong it's right, thus making it kind of perfect for him..
Now you saw how they wore them, now here's how to take it to the Streets...
(You know, unleashing my inner Boheme.)

Coconut Water Hot Chocolate
We love coconut water in our house, it's perfect for fighting off the flu (or in our case fighting it in general) and is chalked full of electrolytes. So when Amy & Brian's sent over some Coconut Juice to try I knew I wanted to do something a little different, thus stumbling upon this recipe. It's the perfect alternative to traditional hot chocolate (one of my weaknesses, you know this) and can even be made in a vegan friendly form! Now, it's not as rich as our typical indulgence but it does the trick on a cold day and I don't feel as guilty sipping it down...
Try it, and let me know what you think!
Coconut Water Hot Chocolate
Here's What You Need ( for 2.5 Servings)
1 - 17.5oz Can Of Amy & Brian Coconut Juice - Found just about everywhere!
3-4 Tbsp. Honey (or 2-3 Tbsp. Sugar or for vegan, 2 Tbsp. Maple Syrup )
2 Tbsp. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Combine the ingredients in a saucepan on medium heat. Stir until thoroughly combined and heated.
And Enjoy!
Spot The Steal - Valentino Bow Flip Flop
I'm not going to lie, sitting on a beach right now is pretty tempting. Don't get me wrong, I love the snow and the cold temperatures but sometimes it's just too much (9˚, is too much). So with sandals already on mind, I couldn't believe my eyes when I stumbled upon these Valentino inspired bow flip flops for a whole lot less. We're talking under $20! So Grab'm now and think of sandy beaches and tropical drinks...

City Black
When I find that cozy, takes you around town outfit, I really never want to take it off. Ever.
Last week, this was the case and my go to style for running around. All black simplicity from head to toe, perfectly chic and comfortable enough for all day wear. Now of course, I switched up the sweater and pants (leather!) a couple times in between, to keep things from getting too familiar (or smelly...).

Swing Coat
I've had this H&M swing coat for what seems like forever (though in reality it's more like 7 years). I actually snagged it on major sale during my second winter in NYC and it's been a favorite since. I especially loved it last week pair with my radiant scarf and lips over my typical black ensemble. It's just so ladylike, and it's kind of perfect for my 'mod stage'...

Hairspiration - Brigitte Bardot
Brigitte Bardot, the iconic sex pot from the 60's with quite possibly the most lust worthy locks, ever. For me her hair is it, it's been created time and time again on everyone from Kate Moss to Blake Lively, and is often all over the runway. Of course, it wouldn't be completely surprising that I'm kind of having a moment.
I don't know about you but I feel like my hair was born to look this way. I have the waves and the volume, just a little tease here and there with a little bang action, and bam!
Who else is loving Bardot's Hair-spiration?
I'm thinking some fabulous tutorials are in order...
A Little Winter Sparkle
For me, fresh snow is magical, it's still a vibrant white and is just like out of a dream. So a few weeks back when we had that oh so lovely blizzard I knew adding just a touch of sparkle would make it even more magical. It's kind of perfect, no?

Roasted Vegetables
I'm 99.9% sure that roasted vegetables top the list of favorite side dishes in our house, they're always the first to go and they're ridiculously easy to make. Chop, Toss and Burn (Yes, burn, it makes them crispy!). Voila! Now, if you haven't tried them for yourself, I'll help you out...
Grab 3-5 of your favorite vegetables & quarter them!
I chose...
1 Cup Brussel Sprouts
1 Medium Sweet Potato
1 Medium Russet Potato
1 Medium Beet
Toss in 1-2 Tbsp. Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper & Garlic Powder.
Baked at 400˚ for 15-20 Mins (or on BROIL for 10)...
Enjoy.
