Rock Your Hair Review

I've never really been a big hair product kind of gal, let's be real up until recently I didn't use any kind of heat or styling tool at home. But since I've been trying new things with this mane of mine over the last several months I got kind of excited about going 'big' with these new Rock Your Hair products by Michael O'Rourke. I don't know if it's the southern girl within (or some old school Carrie Bradshaw love) but I'm serious about volume when it comes to my messy waves, it just works. So when these three found themselves on my doorstep I couldn't resist diving in and trying them out...

Here's what I thought.
Bombshell Big Hair Powder, $17
Just a little tap on your roots to spring up the volume. I was personally a fan because it also helped stretch my dirty hair another day, and it's not too cakey like other similar products.
Spray It Hard Big Volume Hairspray, $22
I spritzed this in my braids after getting out of the shower to help set my waves, and found that it worked pretty well and didn't get too hard or sticky, after taking them out the waves were a lot fuller. I also added a tiny bit to my bangs after spending what seems like forever blow drying them, they stayed put and didn't curl up for a good 24hrs.
Leave In Conditioner Weightless Detangler, $20
I don't know what it is about my hair but it tangles like crazy, it doesn't matter how long it is but it mats up and tangles immediately, which is probably why I sometimes don't bother with it and throw it in a top knot. I've been spraying this in after showers before combing/brushing and it's made my process somewhat easier.

Overall, I'll probably be adding a couple of these to my closet for future use and would recommend them if you're into more volume when it comes to your hair. And in case you need more incentive to buy this month, they're giving 10% of online sales to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Research.

*disclosure: these products were sent to me for consideration, I chose to review them and all opinions are 100% my own. I was not compensated for this post.
