Downtown Casual

leather skater skirt
Leather obviously isn't the newest trend to be gracing my closet but there's just something about this skirt from T.J.Maxx that gets me going, after all it was only $14. The pockets, the shape and quality, it's just perfect and it's no wonder I've been wearing it every chance I get. I also snapped up this designer sweater and bag up from the store for both under $20 a piece, those prices plus amazing quality never seem to get me down.

Now, since it's starting to slightly cool off in my neck of the woods I've been looking for just any excuse to bring out sweaters, booties and my other personal fall favorite, the hat. I think I've recreated about a half dozen similar looks over the last few weeks. This time I added a few waves (Styling tool also via T.J.Maxx) and a deep hued lip to play up my otherwise casual ensemble. For me, it's the casual cool, downtown style with a smidge of edge that makes getting dressed so fun, especially when you just scored the entire look at an awesome price.
