Mixed Metals DIY: Zara Glitter Heeled Sandal Inspired Shoes

After seeing these gorgeous babies on the Zara website, I couldn't help but think it could be done in the comfort of my own home using a few pairs of shoes that could use a whole new life. Little did I know how much I would love the end result, someone is really going to have to take the glitter away from me before I "glitterize" my condo...

So I rounded up my materials, like the shirt DIY (and in case you were wondering, it washes well).
I started with silver, so I mixed my glue with 2 parts glitter and 1 part mod podge, applied a first coat on where I wanted the 'silver' to be and let dry. Then applied another coat until it was fully covered.
Then I mixed the gold like noted above...
And applied it to where I wanted the gold to lay on the shoe, I originally was going to leave some black open, but my future "DIY-er" ran in and smudged it, thus having to cover the whole shoe.
Since the Zara shoe actually has black glitter, I will be applying that at a later date to entirely finish the idea, who knew black glitter was slightly difficult to find. (I left some of the edges black to keep up with the black, silver and gold them)....
