Carseats With Style: Cybex Cloud Q

Since we've already established that I'm a gal about color it won't come as a surprise to you that I NEEDED Indy's carseat to follow suit- especially since I'm going to be spending the next several months toting it around. Right? Well, the Cybex Cloud Q came through in the color department because this purple (or as they call it, "Grape Juice") seat packs a serious punch. Pun intended. And don't worry: it also comes in black, just in case you're not all in for the bright colors.

Aside from being the perfect accessory, the carseat itself is actually pretty incredible. First off, it goes into full-recline position, which is awesome and gives Indy the flexibility of reclining his carseat to a cot position for maximum lounging and comfort; whether we're catching an outdoor movie under the stars this summer, or on a coffee date to catch up with girlfriends. He seems to like it thus far and I'm kind of jealous that he gets to spend so much time inside this protective little nest of coziness. On top of all of the cutting-edge collision protection features that make up the seat, the outside is this amazing oversized foldaway sun-canopy with UVP50+ sun protection. So I also don't have to worry toting it to the park for an afternoon on a picnic blanket. And the whole design completes the picture, since it resembles a shell or an egg- a purple sleek and cozy egg. It's definitely fashionable to say the least.

As for the functional use of the carseat, I LOVE having it in our car and we were thrilled to bring our little man home from the hospital in it. It's super easy to carry (not too heavy) and easily installed in the car. The base fit perfectly in between the boy's booster seats and the front 'leg' on the seat base for additional front crash protection was easy to set. I've honestly have never seen a carseat this unique and I've spend the last 8 years using a variety of carseats with the boys. For me, my favorite feature of the carseat is the 11-position height-adjustable headrest of the infant car seat that simultaneously changes the harness length and sitting angle. Creating the opportunity for the infant car seat to grow with the child (up to 35lbs and 30inches, around 18months). Plus, the near-flat lying angle leaves me without the worry of a bobbing baby head while moving around. It's an excellent seat that beat my expectations.

So, if you're looking for a great infant car seat that exceeds safety standards and offers an extra pop of style I highly recommend you check out the Cybex Cloud Q Carseat
