Summer Beauty: Nearly Naked

This post is sponsored by Target.

Summer in full swing has me leaning towards fresh-faced and barely-there looks when it comes to my beauty routine. There’s just something about a monochromatic, neutral face that looks effortless and beautiful. So, for this month’s Target beauty post I’m going nude, with the help of three of my favorite beauty finds this summer.
I wanted something that would be fresh, but not take hours to achieve. Sure, I prepped my face with the usual suspects (primer and tinted moisturizer) but after that I left a clean slate for my nude palette.
Next, time to contour and highlight with the NYX Wonderstick (in Fair/Light $11.99) - just a swipe on my temples, under my cheekbones and my jawline before blending. I don’t want to use too much because we’re going to be using the Wonderstick for double duty, as you will see next. After you’re blended, flip it over and highlight above the cheekbones & above the jawline. Blend and touch up if needed. Apply a small amount in the crease of your eye and blend. It’s standing in for the eyeshadow so you want it subtle but not too highlighted.

Breaking up the nude palette with a little pop is always a good idea, so I added a slight cat eye to give it just the right amount of drama for the look. I used Sonia Kashuk Liner ($6.99) and finished with Physicians Formula Mascara ($7.59).

Finally, dab a small amount of the contour end of the NYX Stick to your finger and dab it on your lips to complete the look. {Note: Add a clear lipgloss or balm if needed}

Voila! A nearly-naked monochromatic look, perfect for summer.
