With summer getting hotter and hotter here it's keeping me is less fabric and more shorts, leaving me to play around with the same pair over and over again - they just don't get old.

You might find that I'm kind of in love with sheer right now, I love playing with different textures under sheer pieces like this hot pink maxi and my trusty white sheer blouse. The dress definitely caught my eye while browsing VJ-Style.com, how fun would this be with a white or nude slip dress a la Carrie Bradshaw or dare I say it, Cher circa 1995 in Clueless.
But for now it's going to have to play with my maxis, giving them a little more color and oomph. Which is perfectly fine with me.

The boys in my house kind of have this thing for all things Nutella, I mean let's be real when your 3 year old asks for it on his toast in the morning it's something serious. So of course for the sake of pleasing the boys (and only the boy, right?), I decided it'd be nice treat to whip up some Nutella Cookies that I spied on Pinterest, of course with a couple alterations, like nixing the sugar, and add ice cream, I knew it'd be the perfect fit. All in all it was one of the easiest recipes for cookies I've tried in awhile, and I was pleasantly surprised how perfect they were paired with ice cream. I think next time I'll go for vanilla when I'm not needing a chocolate overload.

I managed to finally get some cleaning done when it comes to my closet and finally started weeding out some of the stuff I don't wear, lucky for you it's all going to my 'shop' on Monday. I also ended my week out with a fabulous mail day full of goodies. I'm definitely looking forward to the next week or so, so I can start finishing things for NYC in September, who am I going to see at Lucky Fabb?

A few weeks ago the people at Kohl's were kind enough to send over a sneak peek of Vera Wang's newest line for Kohl's, Princess Vera Wang, targeted towards juniors. I received a box full of goodies featuring eyelet shorts, a paisley tunic, quilted chain link bag and a color blocked sweater, and a little bird cage pendant...So of course what better to show'm off to you than to show you how I paired them. I'm not going to lie, these pieces made me feel a little old, and that's hard to do at 25, but I think I made them a little more age appropriate, what do you think?
Here's 5 Ways To Wear The Princess Vera Line At Kohl's...
1. Princess Vera Wang Colorblocked Sweater, $44 (On Sale $29.99)
This was actually the most difficult to style in my closet because I had no idea what to do with it because it's the middle of summer, so I pulled it over my shoulders and added a little more neon with the shoes and called it.
2. Princess Vera Wang "Kate" Quilted Shoulder Bag, $59 (On Sale 35.40) In Black and Yellow
It's a fun pop of color and instantly adds an extra something to any outfit, I like a lot of the details and it's roomy enough for even my handbag 'fillings'.
3. Princess Vera Wang Sheer Studded Paisley Top, $48 (On Sale $32.99)
This was obviously the easiest to wear in the box. And though mustard isn't my first love, I do love the fit and print, perfect for throwing over cut offs for a lazy day.
4. Princess Vera Wang Eyelet Shortie Shorts, $44 (On Sale $29.99)
I actually had fun playing with these, even though I don't love a whole lot of stuff sitting on my hips, they were cute and comfy.
5. Princess Vera Wang Sheer Studded Paisley Top, $48 (On Sale $32.99) - Take Two!
I've been dying to wear these pants for awhile and I immediately knew these would be perfect, obviously I had to do a little print mixing - this is clearly not so summer friendly but I wasn't too uncomfortable, whew.
Have you see the collection? What do you think?
*disclosure: I was given these pieces for the sole purpose of this review, I was not compensated and as always opinions are 100% true and my own.

Being that I'm originally from Florida, I know how important bathing suits really are, especially if you're like me and grew up on the beach. Now, I wear them less and less these days (mainly to avoid sun, 25 and aging ladies!) but it doesn't mean I don't still love to collect them, they're like my 'other' shoes. So, at last week's shows I was scouting my favorite designs from mega brands like Chloé, L*Space, and Mara Hoffman only to name a few. Highlights include sultry makeup paired with eye catching cut out bikinis and perfectly bronzed skin with beachy waves and bold print bikinis...

A week or so ago I popped into my (not so) local H&M to take a peek at the their offerings for the ending summer months and upcoming fall season. I noticed plenty of color, shapes and prints and was especially fond of the lace and bohemian esque pieces, as well at the two toned blouse and form fitting modern skirts and dresses. Though I stupidly left empty handed, I'm saving my gift cards for NYFW shopping, I was pleasantly surprised with their not so inflated prices and fabulous sales.
What are you lusting after?
And no that's not my finger, it was part of the stand.
(of course I accidentally deleted the not blurry version of this bag - too awesome not to share - excuse blur)
