Floral Print Mixing

10 May 2012

It's funny how the simplest item of clothing can spark an whirlwind of memories, like the outfit you wore on your first date with you husband or even, in my case, the first time I mixed prints. I thought I was stepping way out there by pairing stripes with this skirt (here), but as it would seem it was just getting me ready for bigger and better prints to mix. It's always nice to go back where you started for a little inspiration and to see how things have evolved.

What sparks your inspiration?

shirt vintage, skirt self made, bag sears/kmart, shoes vince camuto, bangle h&m

I have yet to mix polka dots & florals, but now I'm dying to! Your waist looks so tiny here :)

I have to do dots with florals. Except... I think I only have shirts! Maybe I can DIY a skirt like you did!
